What is voluntary suspension and are there different types of suspension?

Suspension can either be requested by the player (voluntary suspension) or imposed by a casino if its own observations or the reports of a third party lead the casino to believe or suspect that the player in question is in serious debt or is placing bets that are entirely disproportionate to his or her income.
